Gordon
Drew PGA Professional
Gordon
has been a fully qualified PGA Professional since 1986. He is
the son of Norman Drew who was the first Irish man to play Walker
Cup, World Cup and Ryder Cup.
Gordon
began his career at Bangor Golf Club where he coached numerous
Inter-Provincial and International players before moving to take
up the Head Professionals post at Donaghadee Golf Club in 1989.
Gordon
has been successful on the local and regional PGA circuit winning
numerous events including the Nairn and Portnoo Pro-Am, Glenmuir
Club Pro’s plus creditable finishes in the Ulster and Irish
Championships.
Since
moving to Donaghadee Golf Club Gordon has continued his interest
in coaching with notable successes including players who have
gained Inter-Provincial and International honours.
At
present the Professional staff is hoping to continue with this
success by organising and promoting coaching sessions for all
players.
Lindsay
Boyd PGA Assistant Professional
Lindsay
is currently in his final year of his PGA studies. Lindsay was
a member of Mahee Island Golf Club and Downpatrick Golf Club before
turning Professional. Lindsay was the Downpatrick Club Champion
in 2006.
Lindsay
has a keen interest in coaching, has his Level 2 Coaching certificate
and has been awarded the Top Year 1 PGA Trainee/Assistant for
the Irish Region TGI Award.
Lindsay
also has a keen interest in playing and finished in first place
in the Ping Ulster Grand Prix Assistants Order of Merit 2008.
