As and from Captain’s Day on Saturday the 1st August 2015 a team of VOLUNTEERS who are members of the Golf Club will be on duty on the course carrying out the duties of Course Ranger.
Their duties will entail;
- Checking that those on the course are entitled to be there:
- That the Pace of Play Policy is adhered to:
- That the starting times on competition days are adhered to:
The Rangers will be easily identifiable from the HI-VIS jackets that they will be wearing and they will introduce themselves to anyone with whom they wish to speak.
Members are requested to ensure that the appropriate bag tag is displayed prominently on their equipment and Flexi-Golf members are reminded to ensure that they have their card with them when on the course, and that it has been properly completed prior to going out to play.
Members and others are requested to treat the Course Rangers with respect as they are:
No.1 – Volunteers.
No.2 – Members of or club who are willing to give up their time to ensure that everyone on the golf course has paid the appropriate fee and is entitled to be there.
We all know that from time to time we have seen people on the golf course whom we don’t know, or have never seen before, but have never enquired as to their entitlement to be there.
The Course Rangers will make sure that each and every person out there is paid up and has a right to be on the course. For those who have not paid the appropriate fees to be on the golf course then the Course Rangers have been empowered by Council to deal with these persons.
Thank you for your co-operation.
